The BRETANIDE Sport & Wellness Resort is a spacious hotel complex built in Dalmatian architecture, harmoniously embedded in the southern slope, surrounded by pine forests, directly on the beach promenade and only a 5-minute walk from the most famous beach in Croatia – the Golden Horn.
The story
The Hotel Bretanide was built over 80 years and was completed in 1985.
The hotel complex was designed by the Dalmatian star architect Prof. Dinko Kovacic. His idea was to create a typical Dalmatian village.
The hotel is surrounded by a spacious green area with olive trees. In the center of the hotel complex is the piazetta with a typical fountain, surrounded by pavilions with white roofs that are connected on different levels by small alleys and a long staircase. Traditional specialty restaurants such as the Komin/Konoba round off the small village.
All these and much more are typical features that can be found in Dalmatian villages.
Where is what located?
The main building houses the Suites****, the reception, the fitness room, the seminar room, and the main restaurant.
The Superior Rooms**** are located in Pavilions 1, 3, 4, and 5.
The Standard Rooms*** are located in Pavilion 2.
On the Piazzetta, you will find the café, the pizzeria, the games room, and the konoba (traditional tavern).
The tennis courts are located above the main pavilion, while the sports area — which includes a beach volleyball court, boccia court, gymnastics area, and archery range — is situated next to the seaside promenade.
Pavilions 1, 3, and 6 are equipped with a lift. However, please note that some steps still need to be taken.
Due to its hillside location, the hotel has many steps and is difficult to access for persons with mobility impairments.
