BRETANIDE Sport & Wellness Resort is a spacious hotel complex built in a distinctive Dalmatian architectural style, harmoniously integrated into the southern slopes of the island of Brač. Surrounded by fragrant pine forests and lush Mediterranean greenery, the resort is located directly by the seaside promenade and beach, just a 5-minute walk from one of Croatia’s most iconic landmarks – the famous Zlatni Rat beach.
The Story of BRETANIDE Resort
The story of Hotel BRETANIDE began in the early 1980s, with the construction of the resort completed in 1985. Its distinctive architectural concept was created by renowned Dalmatian architect Prof. Dinko Kovačić, whose vision was to design a hotel complex inspired by the look and atmosphere of a traditional Dalmatian village.
Surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery, pine trees and olive trees, BRETANIDE was designed as a small village within the resort. At its heart lies the Piazzetta with its traditional fountain, surrounded by pavilions with characteristic white roofs. Set on different levels of the terrain, they are connected by charming little streets, pathways and a long staircase that further reflects the character of traditional Dalmatian architecture.
The experience is completed by places such as our Konoba and Komin, both inspired by traditional Dalmatian ambience and cuisine.
Stone, olive trees, narrow streets, the Piazzetta and Mediterranean greenery – these are the details that give BRETANIDE Resort its unique character and create the atmosphere of a small Dalmatian village on the coast of Brač.

In the main building, you will find our Suites****, reception, fitness room and seminar room, while the main restaurant is located in Pavilion 5.
Our Superior Rooms**** are located in Pavilions 1, 3, 4 and 5, while the Standard Rooms*** are situated in Pavilion 2.
At the heart of the resort lies the Piazzetta, a central meeting place where you will find a café, Pizzeria, games room and Konoba.
For those who enjoy an active holiday, our tennis courts are located above the main building, while various outdoor sports courts and facilities can be found along the seaside promenade – including a beach volleyball court, basketball court, pickleball court, bocce court, gymnastics area and archery range.
Pavilions 1, 3 and 6 are equipped with lifts, although a few steps may still need to be taken to reach certain areas of the complex.
Due to its unique location on the southern slope, the resort is built on several levels connected by stairs and pathways. Therefore, some areas of the complex may be more difficult to access for guests with reduced mobility.
